Daily Schedule: Arrival, bathroom, table play (quiet activity), calendar, weather, morning brain break, bathroom, table learning, story and music time, craft time, bathroom, snack then carpet choice play (bathroom breaks when needed). Attend chapel on Wednesdays
Program Philosophy: It is our philosophy of Faith Preschool that early childhood should be a time of fun, warmth, security, exploration, and discovery. Preschool children are creative and receptive; the staff strives to nurture and encourage these qualities. The preschool’s purpose is to provide an atmosphere that encourages social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth and development of the child as a whole.
Curriculum Type: Some Highscope and some of our own that goes with the kindergarten teacher expectations of parents.
Student/Teacher Ratios: We meet state standards.
Number of employees (including teachers and support staff): 1 + 4 substitute teachers/helpers
Parents Provide: Responses to the paperwork that is provided.
Meals Provided: Snacks (apple slices, crackers, cheese, fruit bars, cereal bars, oranges, fruit snacks, applesauce, pudding…we look at children’s allergies when providing snacks)
Tell us about your program: My grandmother in law started the preschool. I am the third generation to teach here. Here we strive to help the children be prepared for kindergarten. We work with the kindergarten teacher to help the children get prepared. We let the children do things on their own and help them become better citizen. Children blossom at their own rate. We help make transitions more smooth for the parents and children.
